Welcome to Eroticature, the free and open wiki of erotic literature. You can write any kind of legal erotica and post it or link to it from here, as long as you agree to the Copyright Policy.

Treat this like a fictional (erotic) version of Wikipedia. You can expand on the characters and situations created by others, or work on something new.

All content here is dual-licensed under the Creative Commons and Open Setting License. You may use the Open Setting License in your own work to build collaborative worlds with people all around the world. Eroticature is the adult implementation of the Open Setting License, but you may also be interested in Theonosis (fantasy), ThirdFleet (science fiction) or the Open World League (free for all, more or less). Theonosis is a much more well-developed wiki with an FAQ explaining the details of how the OSL works and why you should use it, just remember that Eroticature is a universal erotica setting rather than fantasy.

If you want some free brands and celebrities to start with, the Open World League has a list.

[edit] Why Open Setting your erotica?

  1. The settings used in erotica rarely have any significant market value for their creators. There are few, if any, examples of setting elements from erotica being sold for any amount of money. The Open Setting License applies only to setting elements, so using the OSL for your work has minimal financial consequences.
  2. The OSL allows for the free re-use of characters. This means that people who have particular preferences can "share" ideal characters in their work. For example, if Bob writes a popular story about a particularly beautiful blonde woman named Stacy Halpert, others with the same attraction to that kind of woman can write stories building on her. Shared characters can be created for all combinations of adult ages, body types, occupations, etc. We can even run contests for the best story about Stacy Halpert.
  3. The OSL allows for the use of Open Setting content from other projects that use the license, such as Theonosis, which has published, non-erotica work available.
